Axis Builders was honored to be asked to participate in this significant project, along with Joiner Architects. Bretagne, a beautiful Golden Retriever, and lifelong Fairfield, TX resident, lived and loved her life of selfless service to her community, state and nation. She was a member of the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department and Texas Task Force One. Bretagne was the last surviving disaster search dog who searched tirelessly for survivors at the World Trade Center in New York; following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The project includes cast stone, granite, and masonry pedestal. As well as a concrete plaza, walkways, site lighting, irrigation, and landscaping. All though Bretagne is no longer with us, her spirit and beauty lives on through a one of kind bronze portrait statue created by sculpture artist Lean Toritch’s.
